How much are is your electric bill a month?

Just wondering, me and my soon to be wife and moving into an apartment in 2 weeks, first time for either of us. And when the landlord was showing me around and explaining to me that heat and water are included in the bill and electric is not, I asked her how much is electric per month since I've never had to pay an electric bill. She said on average its only $20!!!! I couldnt believe that when I heard it, is it really that low? I mean thats nothing and if thats true then thats definently awesome. I thought it would be much higher then that. I know it depends on how much you use the electric, but what is everyones average monthly bill so I know what im looking at..thanks.

Awesome..I'm sure this is a ******** question but when the lady was explaining to me the amenities included she said ac, hot water, heat...so I pay for for electric which I know and do I also pay for gas? At the time gas didnt come to my mind...sorry if that is a dumb question I'm just brand new to all of this.

mine used to be $70 a month. But ever since the ice storm they added some bull**** $20 monthly fee which makes it $90 a month.

no gas. heat and hot water is oil, which is great if you dont have to pay for that. Good for winter months for you.

Great so the only utility i have to pay is electric. My rent is $985 a month plus say $30 for electric which puts me at $1,015 monthly. I get $1,514 monthly from the Navy as part of my Basic Allowance for Housing which means I get just about $500 a month extra now.
