Hitting online?

I'm just curious because im not doing very good hitting. I still have a winning record with my pitching but all of my games are like 1-0. Do you have a certain strategy? When i play against the computer i slaughter them every time but when i go online i suck. I usually use square (power swing) until the count gets two strikes then i become protective and use x. Any help would be nice, thanks.

Re: Hitting online?

Quit using square.

The biggest difference I notice between computer and online pitching is the locations.

Computer is more around the plate or blatantly inside outside so its easier to choose to swing or not.

Online I notice,me included, try to nibble at the corners.

I get lots of pop ups off power swinging players.

Also be more patient. If the ump isn't calling the close ones it forces us to use more of the plate which in turn gives you better contact.

Re: Hitting online?

I don't use square as often as the original poster, yet I have the same problem. Unless the opponent "forces" me to play a Boston v. NYY game, my final run count is 0, 1, or maybe 2.
