Stupid question of the day re the Ps2 version

How do you edit starters? I just bought the game(i quit playing the ps2 for a couple yrs) and cannot change the starters.

go to manage roster and hit (i think) the start button. That should give you your starting lineup - then you just switch guys in and out with the x button.
