Is Madden '10 going to assume there will be a CBA extension?

I'm sure most of you know, but technically, this is the last year of the salary cap and the way free agency is handled in itself will be completely different.

I'm pretty sure theres a salary cap on/off option..so it shouldn't be an issue

Yeah well, the ON/OFF option wouldn't create how the league will really work with it. There will be much more added restrictions in terms of signing free agents under the new no cap system. With using the option of just not having one... The high salary teams are going to dominate free agency with no trade offs.

Well for 1 thing. We don't if there will be a uncap year. Roger Goodal is currently working that problem. The reason you don't want no uncap salary NFL is because it could case some of these small market team to belly up and shut down. I just don't think uncap year is coming. I thing Roger is going to get a deal done before next year. But far as on madden. you should a on and off option.

i wouldn't think ea is really putting to much thought into the cba and i may be wrong....i still want realistic contracts,bonus's, incentives..all that good stuff...but i couldn't care less if madden followed the exact rules of the cba as long as it was realistic.
