To whom it may concern at EA Sports: Consumers want Head Coach 2010 - Petition

Dear EA Sports,

This may have been brought up before, I wanted to refresh the position of us consumers wanting a HC 2010.

As a 39 year old gamer who has played video games since pong, I have bought many games over the past 20+ years.

I have bought every edition of Madden since the first year on Sega Genesis. I am a dedicated fan of the series.

However, I may be in a minority, but I love HC even more. I would say I have logged more play time on HC 09 then I have on the last 5 years worth of Madden.

I understand we HC fans may be smaller in numbers than our Madden brothers and sisters, but we are out here, I assure you.

As the HC fan base may not be as large, you might be tempted to not produce HC 10 due to cost of packaging, marketing, etc. While I would happily pay 60$ for a brand new HC 2010, if it is not possible, maybe a recommendation.

If I may be so bold, I have a suggestion that can make you folks at EA money, while keeping your overhead low. It will give us hardcore fans a much hoped for product.

In light of xbox live offering added content for games for a nominal fee, how about giving us HC fanatics an updated game..at least rosters, for HC 09? No costs of boxes, manuals, shippping, etc. A penny saved is a penny earned.

I will admit I know nothing of computer programing or the sort, but would it be a large, taxing effort to create said roster update? Maybe a couple of new playbooks?

Personaly, I do not care about the graphics one little bit. I would be estatic with just the rosters coinciding with the upcoming NFL season, and whatever else you could put in.

I would gladly pay for such a valuable product. Others can debate, but I would not blink an eye to pay 20$ for an updated product.

This way, your hardcore addicts...err...I mean HC fans get what we want, and the Madden people keep their game as is.

Thank you for reading. If anyone wishes, please add on with your support of the idea of downloaded roster content.

Peace=)

If you agree please copy, edit and send in the actual petition letter in my other post, linked below. Thank you.

Good Idea, but I don't know if they are allowed to do that. I could be wrong though.

Josh has his hands full with Madden 10s Franchise, and its too late to start development for a HC10.

Maybe a HC11 is possible.

Good point bow, and I am dreaming of a HCish franchise mode in Madden, though I am not holding my breath.

But, one can always hope=p

I'd love it, but EA is all about this:

I won't argue that fact. In fact, I'm arguing FOR that fact.

It does not take much looking around to see ALOT of download content on XBOX Live. Rockband, Call of Duty W@W, Fallout 3 to name but a very few.

I cannot see any company releasing new content if there was not a market for it, and money to be made from it. All companies are in business to make money.

And judging by the huge amount of content available, it is my point that alot of money can be made this route.

As I stated in my OP, I do not claim to know anything about making video games. My only question was if it is not a huge daunting task, and considering the current market for DC content, could EA - A.Make the fans happy with updated content and B. Pocket a good wad of cash?

Peace=)

I think EA would make more money by forcing us HC guys to buy the new Madden.

I for one MrNfl, would happily buy both.

In my mind, perfection would be HC replacing the franchise mode of Madden. To me franchise mode never reached the pinnacle it could have. That pinnacle imho, is HC.

Is it perfect, no. But for depth it is the closest I have ever played.

But it makes more sense to, as you stated, have us fans buy both.

I would love a yearly HC, but I would settle for updated rosters.

Peace=)
