RTTS Crash... Uninstall Patch?

I'm in June of 2016 of my RTTS. No problems until now. I got the patch on Monday when it came out.

I was with the Orioles at the start of June and I've been looking to get out of Baltimore. I get the opportunity to ask for a trade, and I get shipped to Boston. Last place to first - Awesome! So I thought...

I reach June 20th, the beginning of a homestand, and I get the 'End of the World' crash that dumps me to the XMB every time I try to advance. It's where normally I would get asked if I want to participate in a training session, but that doesn't happen. Everything just goes black and I am back at the XMB.

The good news is that I did save my RTTS just before I got traded. I have tried reloading this save, asking for the trade again (I always go to Boston), and simming to just past the death date. No luck. I know about the training issues, so I skip the one that I am presented with. No luck. Same date, same result. I then tried to load it and stay with the Orioles, and I can then sim past the death date without any problems.

What is going on? Is it the patch, or would this have happened anyway? I think I am going to uninstall the patch and run the two scenarios again. I had previously thought that the 'End of the World' crash occurred in September in conjunction with the training modes. I avoided the training sessions, and I had no problems. Now this...

I have read through the previous 'RTTS Crash and Burn' thread, but I want some fresh feedback if it's out there.

I also want some answers from the development team at SCEA. Are you doing anything about this, or is this just the way it's going to be this year? You said you fixed the September 14 RTTS lock, but now this. What gives? Am I better off uninstalling the patch and just staying away from training sessions in September?

This is the exact date I am crashing too except different year. June 20th, 2011. I actually got injured. Torn ACL. Boo Bad luck! but I go to Sim the season. Boom crashes on the 20th. So I uninstalled the patch. Now it actually lets me play a game. Then I get the injury again. Freezes on June 20th. And it happens over and over. So the unistall did not work for me. Is there going to be a fix? Or am I out of luck?

It's not the "End of the World" freeze, it's the post patch freeze.

Uninstalling the patch has worked for most of us.

I see that it has worked for some. Has anyone figured out what to do if it is not working for others? In my case, it is not working.

Did you save the game while you had the patch installed?? If so, this is what is probably causing your crash.

You will either have to go back to an older save, or wait for SCEA to tell us what is going on here, or start over.

Has this happened to anyone who started an RTTS after the patch or are these only ongoing RTTSs? I just restarted mine but am not even out of Spring Training yet.

Unfortunately, my last save is with the patch. And I do autosave... which I think I now have learned my lesson on not to do going forward.

ongoing (prepatch saves) only as far as I have seen.
