What is Robo QB?

Please forgive my ignorance. But can somebody explain to me what "Robo QB" is?

Do this...

1. Go to Play Now

2. Change the difficulty to Heisman

3. Play as a BCS powerhouse against a team like...oh....Akron.

4. Watch in amazement as the Akron QB goes 38-41 with 5 TDs and 3 INTs against your defense. ALSO...watch as your 80-90+ rated Defensive line gets stonewalled, pancaked, and buttraped against the mighty Akron Zip offensive line.


That's Robo QB.

Robo QB is the reason I stopped playing this game after a month. You can only tweak sliders so much. Lower the QB accuracy etc and then you have even more of a pick six carnival on your hands.

Can't say that I have that problem in my current online dynasty. But I will try with the original rosters.

Here are the annual stats from my last dynasty (using Air Force for 12 games on Heisman difficulty w/tough sliders vs. the CPU). I employed ask Corso in order to limit bias.

CPU pass completion %: 76.8

CPU 3d down conversion %: 52.4

CPU 3d and long conversion % (yes, I actually kept a spreadsheet for 3d and 8 or more): 54.8%

The last stat drove me out of the game. No Div 1-A college team gives up anywhere close to 50% conversions on 3d and long. But, it happens in EA's game because the extraordinary CPU completion percentage makes the CPU absolutely lethal in passing situations. Third and long should be an opportunity down for the defense and a higher risk down for the offense. It doesn't play that way in this game and, for my money, it is a fatal flaw.
