Your Beloved Team
Hey guys,
As a huge baseball fan, one of the hardest times of the year for me is opening day and putting in the newest edition of MLB the show. I know, bittersweet. Why is it so hard you ask? As a kid growing up in a small town in Montana I never had a team to root for. I always played baseball, watched baseball, slept with my glove but never had a team to call my own. Sure, I had a couple players I liked but I never once cheered for a team. I had no hometown team, I had no reason to like anyone! I am now grown up, working as a sports journalist for ESPN in Bristol, Connecticut. Guess what? I still don't have a team to cheer for! As opening day festivities went on all day, the office was filled with favorite team chants and gear thrown about. I was bombarded with questions about if I even liked baseball! Well, this brings up my question. What is your favorite team and why? I would love to see the amount of Yanks and BoSox we have on the OS Boards. And if you guys want some extra credit, give me some reasons to like your team even if it is just for this season.  |
