Dumb Question But.....

How do you make somebody a free agent? It says like remove from 40 man roster but that doesn't make them a free agent. I'm not in season/franchise mode, just on the main roster page. Thanks.

Re: Dumb Question But.....

You have to go to the free agents thing and swap them with someone in the free agent pool.
Kind of annoying I know, but thats what you have to do..

To release them you have to go to roster control then roster management and switch them with someone from the free agent.

Ahh ok, that's what I was doing but I wasn't sure if there was an easier way. Thanks.

Re: Dumb Question But.....

Another maybe dumb question. Where do I go to edit the minor league rosters? I go into roster control and only get the 40 man roster of MLB teams and Free Agents. Im on PS2 if it helps.

Re: Dumb Question But.....

sorry, but they are giving you incorrect information. If you are in the manage roster screen, you choose the player you want to drop, and if gives you all the options (move to AAA, move to AA, etc). Just choose Release Player. You don't need to ad any players if you don't want to as long as you meet your minimums (press square button to illustrate if you've met them)

Re: Dumb Question But.....

I see the same thing with the Move to AAA/AA option...but no release player.

I think you can do this in season/franchise mode (release), but when in Roster Control in the main screen, you can not move to free agency...unless swapping with another FA. I asked my wife to make sure i wasnt crazy by taking a look at it to... alas...i think you can only do a FA for FA swap.
