Icons on the Screen

What are they? I have a few guesses for some of them

Right now I have the following icons next to players names...

-A padlock
-A blue diamond looking thing
-what looks like a pair of crutches (rehabbing?)
-an arrow pointing down (injured)
-a red box (IR)

I don't think I've seen any other ones yet

Crutches mean that the player is too hurt to practice, but isn't actually injured. (Health below 60% I believe)

I haven't seen the padlock for players before. I've only seen it in relation to coaches when certain philosophies are locked due to giving up control when hiring them. Perhaps it has something to do with Franchise Tags? I've never tagged anyone so I don't know.

The diamond looking thing is actually a drop of sweat and denotes a fatigued player.

The crutches mean the player is more fragile than a house of cards. For me it means its time to get rid of 'em because they're gonna spend most of their time in a hospital anyways.

The arrow usually means they are injured and can't play or practice, but if you deactivate a player before a game and then check the roster between then and game time, it will also appear.

Thanks man. That all makes a lot of sense.

As for the pad lock. It's next to my tight end. I have no idea what it's for. Maybe EA could have put a piece of information or two in this skimpy "instruction manual" that came with the game.

If I remember correctly a padlock means that you had choose to bench that player at some point so the game locks them into that place on the depth chart.
The down arrow means a player is benched. (Injuries included)
And I think the rest of them have all ready been covered.

Re: Icons on the Screen

well he was actually the 2nd stringer. my coordinator told me the 1st stringer wasnt productive enough so I just said okay to whatever. They switched the TE's.. I just didn't notice the pad lock until more recently.
