A little assistance please.....

Anybody have any tips on when to hit "x" when trying to rob a home run or hit at the wall? I am having a tough time figuring this out....any feedback or help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I actually held onto the button when going towards the wall and it worked.

As for diving catches I always press the X button when I'm in the dark gray circle, but you have to watch out when the cpu makes your guy run slow, because if you try and dive them you pretty much dive in place.

It is hard to time it this season. Much more realistic than the 7 diving catches per game in 2k7

Instead of creating another thread to ask a help question i thought I'd tack on to yours... I hope you don't mind.
Anyway, Im having trouble stealing. can anyone walk me through this process a little.. I need some help with it. The game manual sucks.

When you get a runner on base, press the L trigger (press and release) to extend your leadoff one step. If you want to steal, press and hold the L trigger. You will feel it vibrate/pulse. As soon as you want your runner to take off, let go of the trigger and your runner will attempt to steal.

Even with the speediest of runners, it seems you almost always need a three step lead and a near perfect release of the L trigger.

**Just remember when you press and hold the button to steal, this also registers as telling your runner to get another step, so for a three step lead, it would be press-press-press & hold...and then release on first movement or right before.

No worries....I was struggling with this same thing....glad to see people are coming through in the clutch with all their tips!
