Interference

Lately I have heard this has been called relentlessly and the AI's continuous hitting of your players in front of the net when they are not even close to the puck. Thus far after about six to eight games I have yet to see an Interference call nor has the computer ceased with that cheap strategy to take my players out of position. Could I have downloaded the patch incorrectly or is the strategy the AI uses just something we have to deal with?

Re: Interference

you can hit them from the front of the net as well. that's the one area where it is permitted.

interference is called spot on. the ones who complain are the ones who were abusing it and are now frustrated that it is being called. i am still finding you get away with th odd interference type play. all and all it is just about perfect.

Re: Interference

I agree with the fact of the CPU not always calling the interference perfectly, but last couple of real games that I played in as well as my son the refs didn't call it right either. I find that in NHL 09 the CPU can check the crap out of you in front of the net, but I did the same thing in my defensive zone and was called for interference. I was maybe one stride from the goalie. I have become aggravated with this, but am satisfied when the CPU doesn't call the interference when I retailiate and check a player really late. I sometimes get lucky and get no call, so I guess it equals out, but I would rather it call it better in front of the net and maybe use a chance on a check behind the play of not being called. I get an interference called on me probably once every other game. Not complaining here just giving my perspective on this wonderful penalty. :-)
