PS2 roster update for technically challenged

Is there a definitive (and proven) way to update ESPN NFL 2k5 rosters from PC to PS2?

If so could someone be gracious enough to send or post a step by step my way. All I have is a laptop and an old PS2 I bought back in '02.

HOW and WITH WHAT do I transfer these updated rosters?

I am new here and am by no means an expert. Here is how I updated my roster, I bought (off ebay) a MAX drive for the PS2 (your gonna have to get a MAX drive). located a .max roster on these forums and saved it on the computer, plugged in my max usb drive and copied it on there. followed the directions that came with the max drive and copied it to my ps2 memory card. once it's on the memory card your can load it from within the 2k5 game.
