This has to be the worst part of The Show(gameplay wise)

The worst thing thats been pretty bad for awhile and seems as if its getting worse is, the default fielder the game chooses. IE theyll be a ball hit to 3rd and when the screen goes to fielding u control the SS this is one of many many hiccups with this issue, every single fielder gets default controlled wrong at some point.
it SEEMS simple enough SCEA, the player closest to the ball should be the defaulted fielder to control....

also one other minor complaint when I have the pickoff slider all the way off to the left I shouldnt have them occuring 4-5 times a game (and thats not leading everyone off either)


Still though unbelieveable game, dont get me wrong but if youre looking for sugguestions for improvement heres something that should really be worked on to get the fielding tightened up. We all know its been SCEA's achillies heel for a bit

I have the same problem, except I get annoyed because on hits down the line, rather than switching to the 3B or 1B, it will switch to the LF or RF even though if the 3B/1B dove they would probably get the ball. Therefore, the view changes, I hit the dive button...now I have my outfielder diving for a ball that hasn't even left the infield yet, resulting in an extra base.

Use auto fielding, you'll be much more pleased with the outcome like ihave been, cuz i had that same problem.

I have it on assist fielder and its not to bad , had a few rough ones on liners trying to make 2b jump make play he didnt respond and my RF dove instead and the ball went bye
I love the baserunning/stealing but I do play on auto , and if I even take a small lead I get picked off so I assume dont take a lead at all unless hes a true baserunner lol .
So I guess Ill stick more to hit n runs
PS this is the best game I have ever played !

i have the same settings going on and i'm loving it. i like the relative unpredictability of the fielding, again, adding to the realism.
