How are the trades this year?

Last year with trades it was way too easy to rip off the CPU. Is it a bit more difficult to do so this year?

I hope it's more difficult too, but I'm realistic. This is always something difficult for devs to pull off, it's a delicate balancing act.

I tested it out and so far so good.

In last year's game I was able to rip off the Baltimore Orioles by trading Jermaine Dye for Brian Roberts. I tried it this time when I got the game and the Orioles turned me down.

I'll keep trying and let you know.

Re: How are the trades this year?

I would say that it's a lot better. Last year, you could pretty much trade for any starting pitcher with Yuniesky Betancourt (an A potential, young player getting paid less than $1million). Now, I can't get much for him.

However, he has a B potential this year so I tried with Billy Butler who fits the mold. The only elite player I could get was Vlad Guerrero. I'm guessing it's because their highest rated 1B is Quinlan.

Right out of the gate in my game, Cole Hamels was traded to the A's for Justin Duscherer. Cpu with Cpu.
