So....the homerun view still blows?

Every video i've seen they never show the HR go out of the park. Am I missing something?

What do you mean? Go in the stands? Or completely out of the stadium?

The camera stops following the ball when it goes overt the wall. Basically you don't see where it lands.

Pretty sure if you look you can see people standing up to catch it etc. I have seen different angles of this, but I will say it's better than last year.

That's what others have mentioned. Although it could be the real-time camera cuts to a scene of fans going after the ball, without actually showing the ball go into the stands. I'd have to go back and look at the vids.

Re: So....the homerun view still blows?

This all ties in pretty well with my fielding camera rant:

http://www.operationsports.com/forum...ng-camera.html

Basically, I'm attributing this to their way of getting the framerate to run smoothly in their control this year. Hopefully further optimization will get it even better for next year so that we don't have to hide all of the stadium glory when the ball is put in play while still having a smoothly running game.

And baa, if the home run is short enough, we will actually see it land into the stands for the fans to come up and catch.

One thing that I love about the real-time thing that I noticed is it will appropriately place where your runner is trotting the bases on the next camera cut, so it's not like always rounding first base even after he actually passed it or something. If that doesn't make sense, watch the Highlights video and watch the bottom right where the player is. When the graphic disappears is where the player last was, and when the camera does its cut to the player, they'll be at the right place instead of some pre-generated cut scene of them doing something.

It's the little things!

in one video i saw the ball land into the bullpen, but instead of bouncing off the back wall, it went right through it.
So, collision detection on the HRs isnt that great in this game. Unless this was a really warly build and they fixed it.
But, I like how 2k lets you at least see the action in the crowd after the homerun. Whereas mlb the show cuts away too quick.

Oh, you're talking about collision detection? I was just talking about fans reaching for the ball.
