Los Angeles Kings(NHL 09)

LOS ANGELES KINGS

Difficulty: All-Star
Sliders: Savioe's with a few changes
Rosters: Current

Los Angeles, CA-In a rather unpredictable move, the Kings organization fired President and GM Dean Lombardi and Coach Marc Crawford turned to Andrew Dellapina to lead the team. Dellapina has been relatively unknown, but some sources at the LA organization contacted him and asked him if he'd be interested, and he jumped at the chance.
"Obviously, this team needs some work," Dellapina said. "Our goaltending isn't very good. But we have some great young talent, especially Anze. He could definitely be one of the NHL's elite in a year or two, with the right surrounding personnel." Dellapina said he's been working on some trades, and some big changes should be seen soon.

Re: Los Angeles Kings(NHL 09)

DELLAPINA STARTS CAREER OFF WITH BANG, SIGNS THREE YOUNG STARS

To Atlanta:
Alexander Frolov and Patrick O' Sullivan
AND

To Los Angeles:
Ilya Kovalchuk

To NY Rangers:
Dustin Brown and Jason LaBarbera

AND

To Los Angeles:
Henrik Lundqvist and Marc Staal

AND

Coach's Comments: First of all, Kovalchuk is a franchise player. Him and Kopitar on the same line, that's almost unimaginable. Frolov and O' Sullivan will give the Thrashers some young talent, and should prove to be great players. The Rangers trade was the one we've been looking for for a while. We desperately needed a goalie, and Lundqvist was one of our top picks. He's definitely an improvement, and he's still young. He's definitely already one of the league's best. Marc Staal is a great young player, and I'm confident that one day he'll be patrolling the blue line as the top defenseman of the Kings. Dustin Brown was obviously a big loss, and LaBarbera was our top goalie, but they had to be traded in order for this team to improve.

DELLAPINA CONTINUES TO WHEEL AND DEAL, NABBING SEMIN AND POMINVILLE

To Buffalo:
Brian Boyle

To Los Angeles:
Jason Pominville

To Washington:
Ladislav Nagy and 2nd Round Draft Pick

To Los Angeles:
Alexander Semin

Coach's Comments: Jason Pominville should be a great offensive producer. He'll be playing on our second line. Brian Boyle should offer them some young talent for their offense. I hate to see Nagy go, but our team is young enough that we don't need to have every draft pick, and Alexander Semin is too much to pass up. He'll be playing on the first line with Kovalchuk and Kopitar, finishing off an unbelievable first line that should score and score and score.

Trading Frolov and Brown were fails, and Nick will be down your throat. Otherwise, good acqusistions. Ecspecially the Lundquist acquisition.

DELLAPINA MAKES LAST MINUTE DEAL, TRADING STOLL FOR GIONTA

To New Jersey:
Jarret Stoll and 3rd Round Draft Pick

To Los Angeles:
Brian Gionta

Coach's Comments: Jarret is a great young player who should do well under the Devils. We needed one more right winger to seal the deal on offense as of right now, and this was it. Small, yes, but Gionta makes an impact. I can't wait to see him on the ice tonight versus the highly touted San Jose Sharks.

But I had to trade Brown to get Lundqvist...no one wanted LaBarbera. Anyways, Frolov was worth it. I have Kovalchuk.

Don't you think Gionta's too small for the gritty western confrence?
