I don't think it's different. I saw it at Chinatown Arcard yesterday and was very underwhelmed. To be fair, I didn't look very long, but my reactions went like this:

"oh cool, Tekken 6. Didn't realize that was out. Hm. That looks really...Tekken-y. Hm. Lemme get back to this Street Fighter."

There was a really nice Guilty Gear style 2d game there though.
