Comprehensive List of 2008 Offseason Trades & FA Signings

OK...Attached is a word doc a compiled, and will be using to update my MLB 2K8 rosters after I've simmed the 2008 season.

What I'll do is intiate trades between two CPU teams.

In which I'll move the players who were traded or who were signed as an FA to thier respective new team for the 2009 season.

Thanks man, I've been updating the rosters for exhibition play, and this list has some trades, and signings that I missed.

No problem.

Out of the FAs I was unable to get Raul Ibanez and Jon Garland on PHI/ARI.

I took a lesser prospect and basically made them into Ibanez and Garland.

I tried signing them myself and then trading them to thier respective teams, but the CPU wouldn't allow me to do that since I just signed them.

GAY!

Re: Comprehensive List of 2008 Offseason Trades & FA Signings

I am going to try to compile a list of the most up-to-date rosters. It will include 40-man, 25-man, non roster invites, AAA, AA, and all A players. As of now I have the Angels, Diamondbacks, Orioles, Red Sox, and Mariners done. For the 25 man (active) roster I use 2k's screen shots they recently provided. I'll also be trying to match up 2k's made up names for prospects and their actual name. I'll also be getting a copy of Baseball America's Opening Day edition when it comes out so these can be as up-to-date as possible.

If anyone wants to help out (especially with the minor league prospects) it would be appreciated.

Can you explain the purpose of just making a list. Anyone could simply go to the teams website and find it. What we need is a roster that can be downloaded straight to mlb 2k8 without us actually making all of those trades. If we do need to do the work trading , then making a list is almost useless. Your work would be much more appreciated if we could download it to the game like we could before 2k stopped putting out updatable rosters on xbox live.
Thanks so much

The purpose is to make it easier for those who want the 2009 opening day rosters for 2k8.

To get the rosters 100% accurate, you still have to check each teams 40 man roster and depth chart to see who is still on the team and who isn't, because not everyone was signed or traded. But the dudes list should save you a lot of time.

Tip: When editing rosters, let the CPU fix the lineups.I've done a bunch of editing before, but only to have the game freeze while editing a teams lineup manually. After the CPU fixes the lineups, save the roster, THEN edit the teams lineup manually...Better to be safe than sorry!

Or you can just buy 2k9.

The list has to be made first so I have something to go by and keep up-to-date. Once I have the list completed I can then make the changes in the game and THEN upload them to 2K share. The list is necessary NOT useless.
