Do you have trouble getting big guys open for 3

I do. There a couple of plays where they get out there. But I'd like some PF/Cs to just float out there more often, like Harrington for example. He will just wait around the perimeter. It's nearly impossible to get them to stay out there. The pick and pops aren't that effective at getting them open from this range.

As an example, I dont force 3s. If its not there, I dont take it. I was 15 games into my season, and I noticed Dirk had only taken 17 3 attempts, he should be getting 3-4 attempts per. So I have to really make an attempt to find him for transition 3s because that is the best way of getting themk for him. LaFrentz is the same. he never gets the 3 point line in normal sets.

Maybe Im not running the right sets?

I don't know any sets that put your bigs out on the perimeter. The only thing I can think of is using the pick and pop mechanic, which I use with Duncan a lot, funny enough. It works really well.

If you play with Dallas you can call the PF Baseline 3 play. That gets Nowitzki an almost guaranteed open look from the 3 pt line in the right corner. But most 3s I take with Nowitzki come from passing quickly to him before his man is on him when the opponent plays a quarter court defense.

PF Baseline 3 is a good play. Also, the Pacers playbook has some decent plays for a shooting big. I have a PF that can shoot well on the outside, so this playbook comes in handy.

Pick and Pop works well too.

You can also use offball control (Press Icon Passing button, hold Backdown button and select player) to take control of Nowitzki, take him to the perimeter and then use dual player control to call for a screen to get open and press pass to receive the rock, catch and shoot.

Everytime I play against the Jazz they run a play that gives Okur a good look from 3. Check their playbook.
