CubbyFan's Updated 2009 Rosters

Alright guys, hopefully I did this right, but give this a shot:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/dfvucu

This file is based off of Knight's last release, updated with moves to date. It should include even the most small of the minor league transactions as long as the players were in the set (even Andres Torres! )

I've also added the following players, shouts out to Carew who supplied the caps for some of these guys.

3B Pablo Sandoval (SFN)
SP Junichi Tazakawa (BOS)
RP Phil Coke (NYA)
3B Dayan Viciedo (CHA)
SP Kenshin Kawakami (ATL)
SP Koji Uehara (BAL)
3B Pedro Alvarez (PIT)
SS Tim Beckham (TB)

I've tweaked a lot of the position eligibility, to me it kind of struck me wrong to be able to play Delgado at catcher, Thome at 3B, etc. I know they used to play there, but I was trying to aim position eligibility more towards the possibility of a player playing there in the future. For that reason, some of the players have eligibility at positions they have not yet played (mostly 3B's like Pedro Alvarez with elig at 1B). Did a few other tweaks with endurance for starters/relievers who needed a spike/drop.

Hope this works! If not, I'll be back in a bit and re-try the upload. Lineups are a combination of 2008 average lineup spot for each player as well as a little bit of guess work.

They look good. I'm just wondering about the attributes of more than a few guys, however. The most egregious case is Jeff Niemann, he comes in as the eight best rated player on the Rays' 25-man - ahead of guys like Matt Garza, Evan Longoria and Dioner Navarro.

Re: CubbyFan's Updated 2009 Rosters

Remember, his ranking on the roster doesn't mean he's the best player on the team. I know last year there were some guys who had really, really good fielding attributes, couldn't hit much, but might show up as higher ranked on the 25 man roster. Check things like that. Don't assume because a guy is, let's say #2, #3 on the list that he is the 2nd/3rd best player. It's a combo of attriubutes that determines that.

I'll take a look at these and work on attributes. I've been doing it for my own file for a while now. I'll give it to you when I'm done CubbyFan if you want it.

Wheres Ziegler? Not on A's roster and Shannon stewart, frank thomas and mike piazza are in teh A's minors. Also forgot their top prospect Brett Anderson.

Good job on hitting alot of them correctly. Just gotta add Ziegler and Anderson
