Awareness - Any Ideas How It Could Be Used

Watching the Panthers game I saw Delhomme miss the play clock and get a Delay of Game.

Then it made me think:

What if the playclock wasn't shown at all times. Depending on the awareness levels of your QB, a rookie may have a harder time paying attention or something.

If you are in a big away game or something it will affect your awareness.

Dunno, just a thought.

In 5:00 games how often does the playclock become a factor?

Ideally if accelerated clock is in the game and we can play 15 min quarters then something like this would be interesting. But most delay of game penalties come from the play not being called quick enough from the coaches area (a nasty little secret no one talks about).

I was saying it in hopes tat Acc Clock would be in 2010...

I know what you mean about 5:00... Either way, I just want some authentic football.. That means penalties happening to me and the CPU.. Injuries... and Rating Categories that actually mean something...

THe playclock in madden is 40 seconds. You break the huddle with 39 seconds left....

Thats ridiculously long in ANY FORM OF REAL FOOTBALL. And is even longer in a video game.

If they reduced the playclock to 20 seconds, then maybe, or use accelerated clock.

I can run 10 plays and control the ball for 7.5 minutes, in a game with 5 minute quarters.

It could work the same way it does for Homefield advantage in NCAA.

Pre-snap: Some receiver icons blanked out. Controller shaking violently. Audibles and hot routes take longer to call. The routes are wiggling and not static like they are normally.

Maybe there should be some formula in the game's code that would allow the AWR rating to be a multiplier of other important stats.

For example, when DE's are closing in on a young QB with low AWR, just how low that AWR rating is could be negatively affecting both THW POW and THW ACC directly ...or vise versa.

Or, when a great HB jukes a bad MLB with low AWR, that could hurt his TCK and HIT POW ratings. But if it's Ray Lewis and his high AWR, no special moves could lower his TCK, and it would only be a more normal TCK vs. BRK TCK matchup.
