Who are your most overrated/hated players in NBA 2k9?

Everyone of us has either drafted a guy or played with a team who has a guy who LOOKS like he should be deadly and ends up being a dud.

So in your 2k9 playing experience, who are the biggest "bums" you have played with.

I have two that stand out above all others....

Hedo Turkoglu and Ben Gordon.

I drafted both of these guys, drooling over their stat lines...both look like they should be dropping 15-30 points for me on any given night from anywhere on the court.

However, I can't do ANYTHING with either of these guys in this game. Hedo's shot is impossible for me and Brick...err..Ben Gordon regularly goes 1-9, 0-7, 1-13 for me.

Anyone else have guys that drive them crazy like this?

Mo Pete from the Hornets, My typical shooting night with him is around 2/12 or so, I moved him to 6th man in my Hornet association and start Posey in hsi place.

Only played against him, but RONDO. He's overated in real life: any player who doesn't even need to be guarded without any penalty for your defense, can NOT be rated almost 90 in NBA 2K9. That's just rediculous. I don't care how many steals he gets.

Yeah Gordon is real hard. Especially when you edit his height to 6'2" like he really is. I think I went about 1-42 over 5 games with him at 6'2" before I traded him for Adam Morrison and a filler

While I understand your point, the fact is that Rondo really IS that good. The problem is simply that his skills don't translate well into this game. First of all his offensive awareness is negated due to him being a PG thus you're probably controlling him most of the time anyway. Furthermore his ability to drive and score is screwed up because 2K sports doesn't know how to make an accurate paint scoring game. Lastly because CPU deffensive awareness is too good his ability to drive kick, and create is non existent as well.

As for the actual topic of the thread for me it's O.J. Mayo. He's so completely unreliable for me. I constantly have to take him out to put in J.R. Smith (not a bad second option at all). With J.R. my offense just flows. With O.J. I have to be conscious of how I get him the ball, and that's slightly annoying.

Gordon's just too short to play SG, because you have to be really open to get an uncontested shot up with him. But I've noticed shooting a fadeaway helps with Big (Small) Ben. Creates a nice little separation and he's also got a silky smooth set of fadeaway animations, so it looks and feels good to pull that off...

Rondo is not that good, in real life, or in 2K9, with all due respect. Just to clarify though, I don't just double team another player and Rondo just stands there. (for the record, i played on HoF levelfor over 2 seasons,164 games, not including playoffs.

I can sag off Rondo and help with another man or play passing lanes, because Rondo won't shoot. His tendency to shoot 3's is very low (i think a 5) in this game, because he doesn't shoot in real life. Which is good, and realistic.

But, for Rondo to shoot 18/40 three pointers in 190 games in his real life NBA career, and receive a 70 overall 3 point rating in NBA 2K9 is mind-boggling. It should at LEAST be in the 60's, 50's imo.

So he is overrated in that sense. He CAN'T shoot, that's why he DOESN'T shoot.

For comparison: Baron Davis is 89, Tony Parker is 90, Billups is 90. And they are all players that are better than Rajon Rondo. But the overall rating is pretty much the same. This should not be the case.

All ratings are from latest roster update btw.
