Hey all!

I've seen more than a couple people here post about how much they are enjoying collecting trophies (the PS3's answer to XBox's Achievement Points) on the various PS3 games that support them. Count me in as one of them. Trophies are a fun and addicting way to add longevity to titles and serve as a source of friendly competition among friends.

Unfortunately, PS3's trophy system lacks some of the features that Microsoft's Achievement Points boast, which make it difficult to see how you stack up against people who aren't on your friends list. Knowing this, I thought it might be fun to start up a way to track how fellow OS Trophy Whores compare against one another. Hence, this thread.

Here's how I envision this working:

• To join this little competition/club/whatever you want to call it, all you have to do is PM me that you are interested, then send me a friend request on PSN (my username is MizzouTigerrr).

• Then, every week (I'm thinking Sunday evenings), I'll go through my friends list and check to see the Trophy Level ranking and how many total trophies each of the people who want to participate have. I'll sort them all out and post some rankings here in this thread. This will allow you to see who OS's biggest trophy whore is and where everyone else stacks up.

• This thread can also be used to organize some get-togethers in order to earn trophies that require cooperative play (think Little Big Planet, Burnout Paradise, etc.). You can also just post general trophy discussion, trash talk, whatever.

• If this gets big enough, there will come a point where the space on my friends list will run out. At that point, no one else would be able to join in unless someone else with room on their friends list stepped up and is willing to become friends with additional participants to provide me the information needed to compile the rankings.

So, is there any interest out there for this type of thing? If so, PM me. Also if you have any ideas that you'd like to see for this, post those in this thread. If enough people express interest, I'll go ahead and post our first rankings next Sunday.

Thanks guys!

I recommend if you are going to do this Spencer, probably the easiest program to use is http://www.playfire.com/. We can add each other on a Friends list and then it allows to keep track of a leader board.

This is mine from Playfire:

Nice, didn't know about that website. Sounds like a good idea to me.

It kind of sucks because you have to manually enter all your trophies, but its nice that it creates a gamercard for you. Maybe one day Sony will put up a website and tracking system.

Oh, the manually entering part of it doesn't sound too hot. I would do it for myself (I already do this on PS3Trophies.org), but I don't know if everyone else would.

Does PS3Trophies.org also create a gamercard for you or is it just a tracking system?

Tracking system.

Sony has confirmed that one day there will be a automatic online tracking system via playstation.com.

It's a shame it is taking so long. I mean even EA has this. EA has their own point/achievement system and it auto updates on their site as you achieve certain things. With those points you can buy cloths/items for your avatar. Sounds like a good idea for your structure doesn't it Sony. Sad to say but EA's online profile system is much better than Sony's and that is sad because they only make games, not systems! Sorry for the rant, it's just a shame community members have to do all this and other sites have to do things that Sony should have done a while ago.

There is no reason to lag. Uploading trophy data to playstation.com should be very easy.
