Disc Error?

Anybody here get a Disc error with the game? I just finally won my 1st be a pro as goalie on all star and right as I was saving I got the disc error, wipe with cloth ... (this is 360 btw) I just bought the game 2 days ago and it hasn't been anywhere but my console.

Two things

1. Is this a known issue or should I just go exchange the game
2. Dumb question but I can get a new disc and my be a pro will be fine cause it's on the hard drive right? More of a calm my nerves question haha

Mainly concerned with question #1. Please advise... thanks!

Re: Disc Error?

Did you get the patch? If yes, then IDK.

But if not, clear your cache. That worked for me.

Re: Disc Error?

My 360 is not online yet.... I assume I need to be online for the patch... that seems kind of silly that you have to have an online account in order for your game to work huh

Re: Disc Error?

The patch you speak of, is that the automatic update or do I need to go somewhere and get it?

Clearing cache done on the xbox menu when connected? Sorry for the lack of knowledge, hard to visualize it without being connected ya know

Yea. When your connected to the internet on the Xbox, your game should automatically tell you that you have an update.

Here is how to clear your cache (no internet needed).

Go to the system blade and then select memory.

Press Y on the HD symbol and then press X,X,Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X,X. Once you do this a messsage will appear saying: Do you want to perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices?

Performing this function will also clear any software updates.

I bought the game and was getting the disk error every other time I played. Never had an issue with any other game. 2-3 days later my 2+ year-old Xbox 360 bit the dust and I had to get a new one. Just in case that helps...
