Pass Rush

Is there a slider set in here that actually allows you to sack the quarterback. I know this is a common problem with this game and I cant seem to find a solution. Ive played every year since 2002. Im a decent player. Probably better than average but not great. I play on AA and have always had great Ds in past year. Im a UGA alum so thats my team. I cant sack the QB at all. He just turns and throws as soon as its snapped every time I blitz. No such thing as hitting the QB as he throws or a coverage sack. Any slider suggestions or ideas period. Thanks for the help.

Re: Pass Rush

I've heard so many people say they can't get sacks, but I usually get an abundance of sacks.

The problem is that most of my sacks are coverage sacks. There is rarely pressure from the front 4 that leads to a sack from talent, but if you know how to cover the CPU's go-to routes on any given passing play then you will likely get a sack.

Focus more on the coverage and the sacks will come.

Re: Pass Rush

Same here...I get tons of sacks...last nite in Tech's opener verses SMU, I got 8 as a team. But I play as a DE. I usually recruit fast DEs and have them shoot up the field. This causes the QB to step up and make a play. Half the time they'll run, but other times they'll step up and fire a 25 yard strike. I have great games and here is what I use:

MudTigers AA sliders, All cartoony things off, Hook'Ems run/pass ratio, zero penalty sliders, and my own offensive/defensive aggressiveness, 9 minutes.

The game plays well for me and I am happy with the games I play. Even had a 13-6 loss at Florida with UCF. 13-6! 13-6! Yeah, I couldn't believe it either. It was a battle of defense and both teams ran the heck out of the ball, but would stall. I, as UCF, have a disadvantage with their playbook, as the strength of my team is my receivers and 98 speed rated HB. But, UCF has a pretty crappy playbook for this type of team. I could have beaten them, but they had some pretty good last few minutes before the half.

Re: Pass Rush

Tried those settings...ive been playing with them for a couple of games. THis was the biggest blow out.

No. 18 UGA 38, No. 14 Aub 7

Stafford 16 of 23 172 3 TD 0 INT
Todd 20 of 27 203 TD 2 INT

UGA Rushing 38 car 124 yds
AU Rushing 14 car 16 yds

Had one sack and it was on a screen.

Same story. I blitz and blitz and blitz and he throws a perfect pass right before I get there all the time. Sat back in coverage and couldnt get any pressure. And this is with UGA.

These sliders feel a little better but I dont know what youre doing to get a pass rush and actually have the other team run on you.

Re: Pass Rush

Put Human defensive awareness to 0. Don't ask or make assumptions, just do it, you'll see sacks.

Re: Pass Rush

I use the "Heisman 101 sliders" and I'm able to get 2-4 sacks a game.

Re: Pass Rush

Give these a shot

Varsity when on defense(switch the difficulty to Heisman when on offense, yes I know it is annoying but it makes the game alot better

Human/CPU
Offense
35/50
0/0
0/0
45/70
35/100

Defense
Awareness 40/100
Knockdowns 60/100
Int 0/20
Break Block 0/100
Tackle 40/70

I racked up 7 sacks last night with Texas against UTEP. With human break block at 0 it seems the cpu qb will hold onto the ball and not make as many off balance throws. Also helps the CPU run game. I had Alabama gash me for 300 yeards rushing as UL Monroe.

Make sure you play on Varsity while on defense though otherwise with break block at 0 you will get no pass rush. Also if you want a challenge switch it to Heisman while on offense. It only takes a couple extra seconds.
