Warning: English is *not* my main language, sorry for the weird uses of some expressions here and there...
Maybe I'm weird but I like being the goalie in NHL09 (the fact that I played all my hockey "career" in the position might be the cause of this) and I started a BAP.
I've been playing 2 years already with pretty good stats. My first year with Hamilton (MTL), Pro mode, and almost got the Calder, lost in the finals. Second year I've signed a 3 years contract with Ottawa and boom in the minor again (ok) and played on AllStar.
Now here's the thing. Whatever I do, I can't for the life of mine have a better than a 90.x% save percent. The AI will always be able to beat me. This might actually be my fault, I'm far from perfect with the right stick and sometimes should let my goalie move by himself instead of trying to do the save manually. There's also the fact that when I play, my own teammates can't score. I loose games after games because I allowed 1 or 2 goals and they weren't able to score one. We finised the season in the cellar and the worst goal scored average.
Now, I can do what I can, I had a horrible season: 16-29-5, 1.35GAA 90.3%SA, 9SO. The stats are nice but with the win/loose ratio Ottawa never called me to the big league.
This summer (well, the one between the 2nd and 3rd year of my career) they traded me to the NYR and they very politely told me they had no idea what to do of me and that they would start me in the minor (again, sheesh) and boom I'm in Hartford. No offences to the ppl living there, but I want the get the F out to the NYR and prove that I can be their next HoF goaltender.
All this story for a very simple question. For all of those who play as Goalie in the BAP, does your team actually gives you goals and some victories or are you forced to go super human mode and do a bunch of shutouts to be able to win ? And any of you were called up to the NHL ?
Thanks
