Me neither, unfortunately. I bought the collector's edition specifically for HC though. I don't even remember what Madden 09 looks like at this point.
There are probably 3 or 4 games I've ever had more lasting interest in, and I've been an avid console/PC gamer since '86. That said, it is very much a niche game. You have to really love it to put up with all the bugs and faults (yes I'm patched). It reminds me of the days of unstable PC gaming when you couldn't tell if it was your video card or motherboard freezing your game, but you kept on pushing the reset button, hoping that maybe this time you'd reach a save point before it crashed. On top of this, there's no way an average gamer/NFL fan will pop this in and be okay with having to find a message board to learn how to play - way too much of a learning curve for the casual gamer.
Even I reached my limit 2 weeks ago when I had just created 10 plays to have it freeze when I pressed Exit. But it's like being in love with a car that keeps breaking down on you, or randomly honking at innocent folks. The crazy person will keep popping open the hood (and door panels, and steering column, etc) to get a few more enjoyable miles out of it.
If I'm ever filthy rich, before I go pumping money into charities and medical research, the crazies
will have a release of Head Coach with an unlimited budget.
