I though I my as well and make a thread for this to clarrify alot of things. First off, there is so many Rumors and so many diff. stories to how the Batman 3 movie will be set up. You go on Youtube and you get like 80 videos of Home made trailers. I found this in my search, while not confirmed I think it is interesting. For those who say it is old news or say you already heard about it, this is for those of us who havent.

In the article above says what Micheal Caine "Supposedly" told MTV's Splash page that Johnny Depp will be Riddler and Philip Seymour Hoffman as the Penguin.

And he says ‘I’ll tell you how you top Heath — Johnny Depp as The Riddler and Philip Seymour Hoffman as The Penguin.’ I said, ‘****, they’ve done it again!’” [Laughs]


So just to ask, is there anything even confirmed for another movie? If this thread should not of been made just close it up Mod's. I just made this to get peoples views and maybe some facts.

There's one reason why Johnny Depp shouldn't be The Riddler:






Jon Cryer would be a perfect fit.

Cryer, I feel, would be way too...light-hearted...for a Nolan movie.

And the only thing "confirmed" for Batman 3...nothing, not even the movie itself, has been confirmed.

Forget Depp. Great actor, wrong role because any unusual characters he's ever played are roles where he hams it up, there's nothing sinister about him. Let him keep playing pirates. Ben Foster would be the perfect Riddler.

I read somewhere that Hoffman has rejected the rumour. I heard Angelina Jolie and Kate Beckinsale are interested in being Catwoman but the director/producer Christopher Nolan said it was unlikely that catwoman or the Penguin would be in future films.
