"NHL 2K10 Will Own Your Soul" - pair

If 2K10 can actually be made, I'm making this prediction. And I don't think I've EVER made a prediction on a message board.

NHL 2K10 will equal the GREATNESS of NFL 2K5.

Whether the critics fully support that is another matter. But I can't help but think it'll even get a modicum of respect from them. I'm afraid some critics may now feel vested in EA's franchise and may find it hard to relinquish it.

But we'll know what's what come 2K10...

People may disagree with me of course... but NFL 2K4 was the "great" game in that series that came out before the "amazing" 2K5. With regards to NHL 2K9, I'm hearing it's "good" but not necessarily "great", certainly in the same way NFL 2K4 absolutely blew people away. Going by that formula, NHL 2K9 would be the "great" version of the series for VC, followed by the "mind-blowing" NHL 2K10.

No it is great! Sure it has it problems, but man this game is great and the Arena come alive more than any game I have ever played!

Except that from most accounts the "deep 2k franchise mode" is absolutely broken. Being primarily a franchise guy that pretty much ruins any chance I actually buy 2k9 sadly.

I hear you. I don't care I never play more than a season. You guys that do play more than one season. I have only one question? How? How do you find all that time?

Being a hardcore hockey guy its just usually the title I play most aside from the occasional Call of Duty or if I find something in a gamefly rental that hooks me I'll devout a little more time to it. But I bought a 360 primarily for next gen hockey, its actually prolly a huge reason I've been sour on 2k lately as for the most part I haven't been too impressed with their next gen offerings hockey wise. NBA2k is fantastic though.

I love this game. I just been playing Ex games and I am having a blast. The skating and the animations are blowing me away. And the Arenas! WOW!

Right on, glad you're enjoying it, like I said, I'm still looking forward to giving it a spin. Though unless a patch fixes the franchise stuff it may end up being another year of "maybe next year" for me when it comes to 2k hockey.
