The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

I know its early, but the potential for the future of this series is so great I figured I'd throw out some ideas.

Edit/Create Player Options
• Sunglasses (Different types such as flip-up, wrap around, goggles, ect.)
• ½ sleeves (sleeves cut right at elbow. Also be able to edit color.)
• New Elbow Guards (the current one is hideous; looks like a giant ball on your elbow. Need different types such as plastic and the thinner padded ones like Arod wears.)
• Batting Gloves (Different types, and ability to edit color combinations.)
• Fielding Gloves (Need more colors and possibly a glove editor like 2k.)
• Bats (Need more color choices and ability to set traditional or cupped end. Also type of taping used on handle. Would be neat to have players name and team on the barrel.)
• Cleats (Different styles and ability to edit color combinations.)
• Eye Black
• Ability to upload face scans and apply them to created players (Like Tiger Woods 08)

Batting Stances/Pitching Motions/Signature Animations
• Recapture or manually animate most stances and motions as many are either entirely wrong or outdated.
• Add ability to assign a specific home run celebration and warm-up swings to any player.
• Ability to select a one handed or two handed follow through for each player.
• Batting Stance/Pitching Motion Creation Feature (Could be similar to the current face creation. Uses sliders and analog stick manipulation to position hands, arms, elbows, feet, etc., as well as ability to select different types of bat movement and leg kicks.)

Stadiums
• Ball boys that chase after foul balls.
• Bullpens with players in them during the game, not just while warming up.
• Future Stadiums for teams that have them approved. (Could possibly be a download option.)
• Real Spring Training Stadiums. (Current ones just don’t have the same feel as the real thing.)
• As many real minor league parks as you can get.

Franchise
• 40 man rosters. (Spring Training is pretty useless without them.)
• All-Star Break with all events. (Futures Game, Home Run Derby, ASG)
• Real Salaries. (Or the ability to edit players salaries.)
• Ballpark Creator (Ability to create and move in right away AND the ability to NOT just create then move into. Have to be able to secure funding, and then set a future date for it to be opened.)
• Single A minor leagues.
• Real minor leaguers with fake names.

Controls
• Analog batting (Just like MVP 07. Pull back and the player begins his step, release and he goes back to his stance, or pull back and push forward to take a full swing.)

I personally would like to see more classic stadiums in the game such as Old Comiskey Park.

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

You got some really good ones there, a lot of them were on my wishlist too, since you already mentioned them, I'll post my others.

Road to the Show:
  • If I choose to be a catcher, then I should call all the pitches. The view should be the same as the Catcher view while hitting, only we can look left and right to check the runners. And we'll call for a pitch and position the marker where we want the pitcher to throw it. Also, have the pitcher shake us off at times. Maybe even add an option to to go the mound and try to convince the pitcher to throw what you want him to.

Edit/Create Player Options:
  • Jersey size: let is choose between Normal, Baggy, and tight. Not all players wear their jerseys the same way.
  • Pants size: Same thing, let us choose Normal, Baggy, or Tight.
  • Arm Sleeves: You have long, and you have 3/4. For next year, we need 1/2. A lot of players cut them right at or right above the elbow.
  • As mentioned already, we must have to option to edit the color of players gloves, shoes, armbands, mitts, catching gear, ect.
  • Have Day/Night options. Some players wear shades during day games, we should be able to have them wear shades during day games in The Show as well.
  • Leave outdated/retired players pitching styles and batting stances in the game, just make them "Generic X." For example, Jon Lester's pitching style in 07 was PERFECT for Ian Kennedy. For 08, you guys updated Lester's motion, but his old one from 07 is nowhere in the game. Those should be renamed as Generics. The more styles in the game the better.

Misc.
  • The walk-off HR celebrations should be re-done. The ones they do in the game are too over-the-top, you should reserve that one for playoff walk-offs. Players don't jump around like Joe Carter when hitting walk-offs in June. Just show them running around the bases, with their fist pumped, or in the air, ect. Then have the whole celebration at Home Plate which is very well done already.
  • This will obviously be addressed, but next year the whole team shouldn't be in long sleeves every night game. Maybe every game where the temp is below 60 degrees.
  • The monster seats at Fenway need to be fixed. You have no fans sitting in the first row. There should be fans that appear to be sitting right on the Monster. Reference pic. You guys have the top two levels filled, but the first row is empty.

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

Been mentioned, but I'm going to reiterate:

Extended rosters for Spring Training. And if there's time, September 1 callups. But mainly Spring Training. It'd be great to be able to judge the minor league talent before the season begins, without having to promote/demote constantly.

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

I was actually told not to start one of these thread for a few weeks, FYI.

I would love to compile a list, come April or so, that is organized in one post.
