well my launch 360 just died

I sat down to play a little nba2k7 and it froze right after i loaded my assoc. and next thing i know three rings of death took hard drive off and everything unplug and all and still three rings i called microsoft and they're sending a box out

since it's outside of a year did microsoft say if they are charging you to repair/replace it? i ask because now when i play oblivion it freezes up on me. it's the only game that does though but now i'm wondering if i'm going to have to get the 360 replaced/repaired same as you.

My 360 died today as well. I've tried everything I could find to fix it myself. So far no luck.

edit: They aren't sending me a new one. I have to send them mine and they're going to repair it.

That's good news cause they usually ship refurbed units from the repair center.

Meaning what?? This happened to me before and they sent me a whole new unit, so I'm not sure what to expect. How long should this whole ordeal take?
