MLB THE SHOW 25: POSITIONS REQUEST CHANGES FOR LIVE SERIES PLAYERS ONLINE BY HOUSTON

Positions are always going to be debatable, but this list I did is to hopefully get positions added to the players that do not have it at all and the source used was the MLB and MiLB based on there career and as of recently in the 2025 season.

I run a custom league and players on LIVE SERIES are missing some KEY positions which we can't EDIT anything in custom leagues so that's why I am asking for SDS to please consider adding these. What happens is if a player does not have the position it makes them OUT OF POSITION then if the team is not occupied by a user the CPU will remove the payer out of the lineup when you SIM the game. Then what happens is the player will say he has let's say 15 games but there is 0 AT-BATS and rest of his stats will say 0 unless he actually plays in a game where he has positions on his card. My point is the CPU will remove the player(s) out of the game if he is OUT OF POSITION so he loses 9 innings of AT-BATS etc...

With that being said I understand some players might not ever play that POSITION again, but this idea is that HE has played there in his career so regardless if it's 5 years or even 10 years since those player(s) might have played there but the point is they still have played there at some point in their career and I am only using MLB and MiLB to reference where they all have played at some point in there career.

In MLB, players frequently switch positions both within a game and across their careers. While some positions are highly specialized (like pitcher and catcher), others are more interchangeable, particularly among infielders and outfielders. Personally, a better request for SDS would be to finally allow custom rosters for custom leagues. I don’t run custom leagues anymore and haven’t in quite some time, but you should have the ability to make these updates to your own league roster so you can run the league how you and your friends want. Maybe not allow for player importing to simplify it, but at least allow you to edit positions, attributes, and even equipment.

Since we know the intent from SDS is to have the live players have only active positions to assist with making positions more important in DD, this will help custom league users get around that and truly customize to their liking.
