Just curious what type of fielding everyone is using: Auto or Manual?

After years of using Auto, I switched back to Manual midseason last year. So I started with Manual this year. Feels like there are some balls the CPU gets to that I just can't reach, so I briefly switched back to Auto. But I feel completely disengaged on defense now, and I miss the feeling when I actually do make a great defensive play.

I'm on auto. I love watching the defense with the dynamic camera. It all moves so much better without me fumbling around with the controls.

I use manual/assisted or whatever it’s called. Also use manual throwing with no meters

I look at it like auto fielding evens that area of the game with the cpu.I don't need to lose games based on that.

I can lose games instead based on keeping the challenge high with pitching and hitting.

Yeah I like auto-fielding as well. I've played my share of manual in the past. Now, it's all ratings for me. I do utilize the throwing decisions myself. The default fielding sliders are very "stiff" though, imo.

I use manual with manual throwing. I want the control when I'm fielding.

One thing that could be better in the game is which fielder it initially gives you control of. Moreso on Flyballs as alot of times they give you control of someone farther away or off the screen. I know I just have to hit L2 to change to closer fielder but sometimes it still messes me up because I think I'm controlling the closer fielder but I'm not. My old eyes aren't what they used to be.

Always manual. I enjoy fielding, turning that to Auto would take a lot of the fun out of the game for me.

I play way more RTTS then Franchise, where fielding yourself is much different then franchise, but when I do play Franchise i prefer to have it on auto, and just concentrate on pitching & hitting.
