Just wait. If you think the Switch 2 version is going to be the same version as other platforms, you're likely in for a surprise come August.

Really this is abandoning two last gen platforms, not abandoning last gen as a whole. Thanks to the Switch 2.

It's about time. I thought we might see one more year, just because the EA-NFL license has an optional additional year if Madden reached certain revenue benchmarks. They must've hit those benchmarks.


I'm curious how the Switch 2 version holds up. I was somewhat okay with Series S being the weakest link, but I wouldn't want the Switch 2 to hold stuff back.

snagged a Switch 2 pre-order and have only been playing The Show lately (on the Switch) so this is intriguing. I stopped playing Madden a few months back but played a bunch on the backbone on my phone through xbox remote play towards the end of the actual NFL season. If they can fix the cpu playcalling in franchise, playing handheld on the bigger screen would be nice!
