One thats WAY off in this year's edition of the game is number of games pitched by relievers. I'm currently at the end of May in my franchise, and a ton of CPU team relievers have more than 40 game appearances through roughly 60 team games. Some teams with three or four guys like that on one roster. Which is on pace to just blow past the league leaders in nearly any season IRL.

It’s better than previous years. The issue is that there isn’t enough player movement (especially since the full rosters are smaller compared to real life), so you get some relievers getting close to 85+ innings and even slightly over 100.

But it’s better than years past where you’d have guys pitch 130 innings in the bullpen with no starts and have a 14-2 record.

Yup - as shown by the testing here, strikeouts are way down in simulation for some reason for this years edition. Not the end of the world by any means but I have noticed it in a few different simulated seasons I've done for franchise mode. Unless you're an elite elite pitcher, its very likely your strikeout totals will be well down from real life.

Everything else looks pretty solid though! Boy oh boy - the Rockies and White Sox are both really bad in this game.

Strikeouts are always down in the game because the K/9 on the default roster has every pitcher lower compared to the vision of the batters. It’s been that way for awhile and it’s because the overpower the DD players K/9s, so legends have higher K/9. If you bump up the K/9, it solves the problem.

What I've done is turn the injury slider up for simmed games up while turning the one for my games down. This results in more minor injuries for the CPU teams, which in turn leads to more roster movement, pulling guys up from AAA, or outright releasing lesser guys and signing free agents. It works well, and I'm thankful for the new slider addition that makes it better.

The problem, and I could be wrong, is that they they are still using the sim engine from almost 15 years ago. That’s what the game sims this way. It’s the reason why if you build a sabermatic lineup your #2 hitter will almost universally have low home run totals. The game views this as a spot for a high contact “move the runners” type of hitter, instead of the best hitter on your team

Well, I still play and want to watch baseball from 15 years ago, so that's not so much a problem to me, lol. I hate what real life MLB has become on the field these days.
