Anyone mess with "move tendencies?"

So as the title states; has anyone played around with the new "move tendences" feature?

I took a few of the Legends and did some simple tweaks.

More or less, I went to all the Light Grapple (front/back), and all the lame ground grapples, like the arm crusher, or leg stomp, basically anything that kills the vibe and momentum of those late matches that are epic, and tweaked them to "mostly beginning of match". A few exceptions here and there of course.

I haven't played enough since doing that, so I'll report back soon if I have feedback, or further tweaks.

There is even a function to tell the AI to repeat the moves often, 2 or 3 times in row if appropriate.

For example, Randy Savage and his finisher elbow drop, whcih I've seen maaaaany matches where he might to it 2 times in a row.

Stuff like that.

Curious if anyone has any feedback of their own with this awesome new feature?

I haven't tried it yet but I'm excited. Can anyone give me some feedback on this feature?

I played against the CPU and also simmed a few CPU vs CPU matches with the few guys I tinkered with last night.

And yep, works so perfectly that you barely notice anything "out of place" at the wrong time. Love it; I'll be going back in and tine tuning shortly.

Was cool to select "fav" and "repeat" and "flurry" (which is repeat often in a row) on moves like Hogan's back-rack; since he would do that tons of times in matches as he was gaining early momentum in matches.

Conversely, it was fantastic to set moves like "arm breaker" (when the opponent is on their back) and have it only happen early/mid-match, so you're not ever seeing it during the climactic end of matches!

I can only imagine as poeple begin posting their tweaks that this will only get better, and remind people, "aaaaah yes, I should do that too! I forgot about that!"

Let's get this thread going!!!!!

Stay tuned is all I will say.

But to answer your question, yes.

I am not surprised by your reply one bit sir.

Thank you in advance.

Also, setting all subs for later in the match is nice as well; along with carry moves that always seemed to happen within the first minute sometimes. What an awesome addition to the game this is.
I also noticed you can change existing Superstars moves as well.

Re: Anyone mess with "move tendencies?"

But yea, me and Hype have something coming but a few ideas to put out there. (Hopefully this can turn into a convo where everyone chimes in)

* This game is hard-coded to have high-flying moves performed EARLY in the match. Out of the box, if you put two flyer types in the ring together you will see so many attempted high risk moves within the first few minutes. I say AVOID them during the early parts of the match (Or just say "Late match only) because the CPU has no discipline when it comes to this. It really makes a difference.

* The STYLE of the wrestler needs to be considered when assigning tendencies. I am fine with Giants NEVER doing Leverage Pins. I am FINE with Junior Heavyweights never doing carrying moves (of course it's situational) but a big part of these tendencies comes from removing certain types of wrestlers from certain situations altogether.

Right now I am really working on creating a perfect Bret Hart (97: Heel) and what I really an aiming for is to see him DESTROY his opponent's legs especially during the later parts of the match. So I AM programming him to pull out those Leg Targetting ground moves so that SHarpshooter is basically impossible to get out of. Same will be done for all of the Flair characters.

But I could go on forever honestly.

I agree, I hope to see this thread grow as people begin to tinker with this aspect of the settings.

As for your post; I understand 100% of what you are talking about since I have already begun playing around and are semi-familiar with how this works.

That said, I DO need clarification one thing you said, and I heard in the past too.

When it comes to selecting, or more importantly CHANGING existing wrestlers/CAW's STYLE, doesn't that cancel and reset all of the existing moves and applies a move template to them? I was under the impression it did, so I've avoided doing that for a few past games now.

It IS so important though, like you said, to get that dialed in first, so the rest of the movesets and behavior play out correctly.

I'm interested in hearing your reply on this.

Thanks!!!!

Re: Anyone mess with "move tendencies?"

When I mention, "Style" I am referring to the styles assigned to wrestlers when Hype and myself are generating ratings for our project. I wasn't referring to the In Game Style assigned to the wrestlers in WWE 2K.

Hopefully that makes sense.
