Holy Schlamoley!

Whoa! I’m playing my CCG and my Heisman finalist QB (he won’t win, but he’ll likely finish top 5) is having an off day. On the season he completed roughly 70-75% of his passes (lots of WR screens, drags, and quick slants) and had 21 TD to only 4 INTs.

As he throws yet another incompletion with 4s left in the half I think “I bet he’s under 50% on the day!” I call a 4 verts (my version of a Hail Mary) and he ends up throwing his 2nd pick of the game in the end zone as time expires. No big whoop, since it was just a Hail Mary.

Then I look at his halftime stats and my jaw dropped. Looks like a was sandbagging when I thought he was barely below 50% as dude ended up throwing more picks than completions as he rocked a 1 for 13 completion percentage for the half…..🤪

Don’t ask me how that’s possible. I knew he was over/under throwing his receivers more than normal, but holy hell!

I have capable backups, but he’s definitely the guy, so here’s hoping his 2nd half is better (cuz it definitely can’t be worse).

Re: Holy Schlamoley!

After trailing 3-6 @ the half, my QB picked it up and went 10/13 for 110 yards a 1 TD in the 2nd half to lead us to a 16-13 victory off of a FG as time expired.

A few yellows here and there, but nothing major. My QB was never even yellow during the game. He was just OFF. He was sailing passes over curl route guy’s heads. Throwing the ball in front of the feet of slants, etc. I don’t think it was composure either as he was never cold (full on snowflake) and not even halfway to cold for most of the 1st half.

Re: Holy Schlamoley!

I'm a nerd, so this is what jumped out at me:

That stat line — 1/13, 31 yards, 0 touchdowns, 2 interceptions — should produce an NCAA passer rating of -3.046, which I think would be rounded to the minimum value of zero. That quarterback absolutely should not have a passer rating over 6000 (and suspiciously close to 10% of the maximum value of an unsigned short? What?)

I would absolutely love to know how EA Sports managed to create an integer underflow on a floating point number. The reason is probably incredibly stupid.

Hmm. Reminds me of your real life QB room last year.

Even Alex Orji isn’t going 1 for 13.
