Question for the gurus

To our slider magicians do you see that sliders are static from one season to the next?

More specifically if I plug in my final 24 sliders into 25 this Friday will I get the a similar feel of gameplay and difficulty?

This is the time of year I usually get frustrated because I'll have the previous years version humming and then I put in the brand new rendition and try it "out of the box" and miss how the old one played. Then I go throw the slider shuffle...

I'm no slider guru, but

a) each iteration of the game seems to NOT be exact from year to year

b) I am planning on plugging in my exact settings from 24 that worked so well, and go from there. And it takes quite a LOT of games to get a true sample size to see if those sliders are working well.

IMO, you can either play a bunch of games at default to determine what isn't "working" OR plug in 24 sliders to use as a base set and make tweaks from there.

The devs do a pretty good job not making drastic gameplay changes every year that require massive slider tweaks.

Re: Question for the gurus

Yeah I plugged in my 24 sliders and have been working from there.

I can tell you....this is one mans opinion. Legend Classic Pitching (no ball marker) is harder this cycle compared to 24. I was getting hammered every game. That was 10 games of constant bashing, barrells, solid hits.

So we have moved off Legend for now and back down to HOF which served me well for a very long time (since MLB 17).

There are some little tweaks in certain areas that are being observed. Results may vary though.

The random samples of baseball are deep and spread across the spectrum being how many different interfaces we have at our disposal on this amazing game.

Re: Question for the gurus

The past few years my starting point has been using what I previously finished the previous year using and have had very good results using that as my baseline starting point

This year, the slider portion is exactly the same, but there are a number of gameplay settings that are new or different, so you need to take the time to go through all the settings

I have not looked at other folks sliders, so not sure what they do or do not have posted in their thread....but post #1 of my thread has every single setting and slider listed

Same. Legend was kicking my butt.

Re: Question for the gurus

I pretty much use the same slider set every year and I think it works for me is because I play Dynamic Difficulty. If I didn't use dynamic, I don't think there's any way my set would work nearly as well for me, carrying them over year-to-year.

Oh, and I'm no guru. I just pretend to be one on the internet.
