What are your favourite plays?

I'm playing with the current Lakers and I found an amazing play for my starting 5: '16 GSW FIST 14 PING SWING.

Great ball movement with plenty of 3pt opportunities. Always a good shot selection, no matter the defense adjustments. There's also a deadly cut option for Lebron if the screener defender overcommits.

But the thing I most like is the spacing. In most plays, when I use Lebron as the playmaker/PnR man Hayes usually end behind the 3pt line. In this play he's in the dunker spot ready to finish the lob.

Honestly, just spamming off-ball quick screens & using the cut to basket when necessary. Nothing beats a traditional motion offense.

But there's levels to it. You HAVE to recognize the mismatches. For example, I face a TON of Celtics users online, & i wouldn't dare try & run my offense through MJ or Kobe if Jrue Holliday or Derrick White is guarding them. Sounds pretty hilarious, but in 2k, it's ridiculously difficult to beat CPU defenders when they have gold or better menace or lockdown badges of some sort.

Instead, I'll put my best player at Center, & run screens with MJ playing center, just so I can get Porzingis on him (Porzingis is the only starter who doesn't have perimeter lockdown badges of any kind).

You want to attack the greatest mismatch, & a lot of times, your BEST offensive player won't be the one to exploit said mismatch.

Right now I'm using the Warriors freelance. I was looking for one that involved the PF/C as a playmaker.

This is the best I've found. Lebron is a great post scorer/playmaker and the spacing is amazing. There are four players around the perimeter with Hayes standing in the dunker spot.

There are endless cut and 3pt opportunities with this freelance and Lebron/Luka are the best passers in the league. Just perfect.

Quick 32 Horns and Punch 3 Hammer are a couple of my go-to plays. Cut Point 2 was great for lobs in 2K20 but I’ve had less success with it since then (feels like the big doesn’t commit to the lob as reliably).
