We have an opportunity to chat with MLB The Show 25 Game Directors, Steve Merka and Lance Leahy, next week about Road to the Show and Diamond Dynasty.

If anyone has specific questions for either mode, please post them here and specify if it's for RTTS or DD.

Not all questions will be answered, so make sure to post your best ones. If you see a question you like, be sure to "give it a thumbs up" so we know how important it is for the community to get the answers for them.

Will sounds of the show be in the game? If not, why?

Has the team thought about ways to keep players interested in RTTS careers after reaching the show and playing for a couple years?

For example, creating a “trophy case” of important moments throughout their career or having the money earned through contracts be used for something (like upgrading the player’s room or clothing). The power pros series from Japan has a lot of similar elements to make the game feel more like a RPG and give a sense of progression, so I was wondering if the team had any ideas along those lines or if the long term vision lies elsewhere. Will the CPU batters actually be smarter on GOAT difficulty? Will they recognize user pitch tendencies? How much harder is GOAT pitching than legend ?

I thought this has been addressed multiple times. The ps5 can’t store local mp3’s so it’s basically impossible to implement for the devs. The only option would be if they integrate spotify and it streams the music from there but then starting a specific music part in the song seems like a nightmare to integrate

Will there be a significant increase in the number of names in the last name sound file database and in particular in regard to names previously lost in the transition to a new announcers team?

This affects both RTTS and Franchise (created players)
