did patch ruin offsides, Offsides On and Delayed, seem almost broke, I've had no offsides called on both settings, Ea sports probably needs to up number of offsides called per game to low to moderate.

Man, I. just went into a game and went offsides on purpose 6 times.

I then watched one period of a CPU vs CPU game and saw 3 offsides.

I then position locked as a goalie and played one period and saw 2 offsides.

There is nothing wrong with offsides. I'm not sure what you are doing or what you think offsides is, but if I had to bet I'm thinking you have them possibly turned off, or no?

on my end i saw zero offsides, am in game right now,nothing zippo.
from both on and delayed.

Offsides works, if I remember correctly you only play goalie. So the CPU AI might not be going offsides based on whatever slider set you are using. The patch didn’t break it though since I’ve seen a few in the handful of games I’ve played. Changing from On or Delayed doesn’t impact anything with offsides btw, it’s just how the rule is called where On means you can’t tag up and Delayed means you can. NHL rules are Delayed offsides.

Dude I thought we addressed this with you in two threads last month... I do not think you understand hockey offsides rules... I have no issues getting offsides called...

I might have to record again, am getting very faint offsides called in goalie mode, zero on offsides: On and very little with offsides: delayed.

Record your video and share screenshots of all your settings. Theres no issues with my offsides either.

Record it, but there's nothing wrong with the actual calls.

The issue is that there aren't many of them, because the CPU AI isn't programmed to go offside.

So, as a goalie-only player, given that all of the skaters are AI, they aren't going to just accidentally go offside. They'll hold up at the blueline and wait for the puck to enter the zone.

Playing as a full team, I find that the only times that I typically see them defensively is if I make a play at the blueline (ie. hit the player off the puck), and then it and then the puck goes out then comes back in.

Looking at some data from this season, and just taking the Leafs as an example because they're the first team that popped up when I googled it, they've played 61 games, and they've had offside called on them 118 times, to average 1.93 per game. Their opponents have been called 113 times, so 1.85 times per game. Together, you're looking at an average of 3.78 offside calls per game.

So, as infrequent as it is in-game, it's not really something that happens insanely often. Should it be tweaked a bit higher? Sure, but there are more pressing issues with the game than if the CPU plays like a Peewee house league team and goes offside all the time.

It's not broken, it's just not going to happen often.
