You know if we got some AI updates with every patch that would be fantastic. For the multiple issues I have with this game the biggest one still is the D-Men leading the rush for no reason when it makes no sense and them in deep behind the net in the o-zone cycling and camped in front for deflections. The rotations are just off and needs addressed even after all these months later. They are aware of it 100%, but somehow still not touched.

The patch was 5.10gb, seems large for not much of an update above, no?

They added some real goalie masks in the “Made on IPad” section. Most are from earlier this year, but the following have actual masks now.

Also added some new equipment as well. I wish they would highlight this stuff instead of us having to find out about it from searching in game. At least the masks showed up as a news item in the main screen on loading. They don’t realize how much interest this kind of stuff draws from people who see their favorite goalie/players getting accurate gear, especially goalie masks.

Thanks for sharing that info. That explains the 5gb patch then!

They should to a custom on the iPad goalie mask for all 32 teams, would be a cool update and another option for each team. Good stuff for those goalies getting added though.

The Made on iPad was a theme done by Apple and the NHL with some goalies’ artists. Has nothing to do with EA other than them working with the NHL and the other parties to get them in the game . It would be nice if they got more in game (maybe they are working on that with those artists). They did back in NHL 97 so it’s cool to see them bringing something similar back even if it’s only for a few.
