Cowboys Dynasty 32 cpu vs cpu
I started an all 32 controlled cpu vs. cpu franchise, with the Cowboys being the base team. Week 1 started with the Cowboys losing to the Cleveland Browns convincingly 26-13. Dallas was totally unprepared from the beginning, after both teams traded possessions, Dallas was driving for what looked to be the first points of the game but Dak Prescott forced a pass to CD Lamb which was intercepted by Greg Newsome at the Cleveland 11 yard line. The ensuing play saw Nick Chubb break through the left side of the line virtually untouched for an 89 yard touchdown run. The teams again traded possessions. On the Browns next possession a blown coverage allowed Armari Cooper to score on a 67 yard pass play, ending the 1st quarter with the Browns up 14-0. The teams battled back and forth for the remainder of the first half with Cleveland taking a commanding 17-0 lead into halftime. The Dallas defense some stiffened in the second half allowing just 3 field goals in the fourth quarter. Dallas finished with 382 yards of total offense. Dak Prescott went 33 of 57 for 351 yards with 1 TD and 1 interception, he was sacked a whopping 7 times by the Browns defense, Rico Dowdle rushed 13 times for 43 yards, and CD Lamb had an awesome game catching 13 passes for 206 yards, Kevonte Turpin caught 1 pass which was the lone touchdown Dallas would score on a 4 yard slant. The much maligned defense, which surrendered 475 yards was led by Eric Kendricks who finished with 16 total tackles, and Travon Diggs who finished with one interception, with the of the two big plays in the first quarter the Browns only mustered 319 yards for the remainder of the game. Dashaun Watson went 15 for 28 for 234 yards with one touchdown and one interception, Nick Chubb rushed 21 times for 193 yards with the highlight being the 89 yard touchdown run, and Armari Cooper caught 3 passes for 100 yards with the one touchdown. The Cowboys, who hope to bounce back head home for their week 2 meeting with the New Orleans Saints who were victorious in their opener against Carolina 17-16.
