As someone who has both games and regrets getting Madden (even after getting it cheaper at like $30+) I would 100% tell someone to get NCAA.

It's not perfect, but for me it's just the more fun game this year. The only advantage Madden has for me is I prefer the NFL and maybe slightly the new things added to the run game. But it feels like you are in mud which takes away much of the fun.

The gameplay: I always find myself wanting to play CFB and Madden feels like a chore.


The biggest thing that stands out to me is the speed is so much better and feels just right. Madden feels so sluggish after playing NCAA. CFB: It feels smooth.

Wear and Tear makes the fatigue system better in CFB. I wish they'd have given us a slider for it but even without it adds a gameplay element that is not there in Madden. I could use more injuries for sure, especially to QB's. How about a separate injury slider by position group ?

Some of it is also the dynasty mechanics that we haven't had in a while or ever like the CFB Playoff, recruiting, the coaching carousel.

Also the CPU actually runs the ball unlike in Madden. It's not perfect and still a little bit less than I would like and doesn't seem to really attack if it's working. Neither game seems to have any type of AI that looks at what is working and sticking to it more but like I said at least it feels like CFB runs more than Madden. I've been in the Madden thread for 2 years now about this. It just seems like the Madden team does not care about it.

As far as next year I'd like to see CFB add a new fatigue and injury system to integrate with wear and tear. Spring games are a huge one for me and improving coaching carousel otherwise I will probably stick with 25.

As far as Madden at best I will buy later again unless their is some major revamps to franchise mode and the Play calling system gets 100% fixed. I bought after they said it was better and by the time I got it any improvements had been rolled back in a later patch. This is the longest I waited to buy Madden since I didn't buy for a few years between 2011-2013.

I wish you could draft players from college into madden. That would have made madden worth playing.
