Any chance for a coach mode where I don't have to click EVERY pitch? Even in fast play? It would be nice to do other things while the game is being played

Manage mode exists in franchise and has for many years.

Hopefully they don't follow their sports video game cousins in Madden/College Football where they water it down. Or worse, like NBA 2K by getting rid of it all together.

They have Manage Mode and Quick Manage. Manage Mode you can click every pitch (or use the shortcuts to keep moving each pitch faster). Quick Manage you just work by at bat and can skip ahead quickly to half innings in the future.

But can you walk away and have the game still playing? I've played Quick play and you still have to click every pitch

Quick Manage you can simulate a half inning. You can also start a game and then go into Quick Manage and select which inning you want to simulate to (or go to the end of the game) and it will play out the results.

Why wouldn’t you just sim the game if you want to walk away and have the game complete itself though? Wouldn’t you want to also make some managerial decisions like who to put in the bullpen or any pinch hitting? Or do you just want to watch the game and not make any changes? If that’s the case just play the game but don’t select a controller to a team.

This needs added for sure.

Should be able to click a button where it's basically watching CPU vs CPU, but then you can click a button again and interact as you see fit.

I've always wondered why this wasn't a thing.

I'm a fan of the quick sim at times, but when in Manage Mode I want some freedom to just watch pitch by pitch without having to select "pitch".
