Since this will be a recurring event, we can have one thread for tonight and all future SNME.

No word on the next one, I figure we might find out tonight, but if I had to guess I'd say probably nothing again until late March/early April given the gap between Elimination Chamber and Wrestlemania, and it would also mean extra WM promotion on NBC.

WWE kept Hogan off SNME because of the fan reaction.

So they bring in Ted DiBiase instead....that won't lead to negative reaction at all...

Also, why is it in Spanish!?

Ventura doing Steiner math! But still obvious he doesn't watch then product. Calls Honky Tonk man the longest reigning IC champ, and let WWF slip (I know they can't call themselves WWF, but I never get why the wildlife fund doesn't let them refer to their history as WWF at least)

But I love the Sheamus reference from Ventura. Talking about Sheamus winning the battle Royal and getting a title shot (which he won the title at TLC) on the night he guest hosted Raw and called the match with old school Vince McMahon. I know that wasn't his actual idea, but it was still such a huge star making moment. A #1 contenders battle royal only featuring guys who never won a world title, and we got the Sheamus-Cena faceoff that same night with Ventura in the ring moderating it.

You go from some new guy who was on ECW to suddenly a main level star on Raw just like that.

Kevin Owens and Cody are so good right now. I'm so into this feud!

Kinda hoping we get a new WWE Championship after this ladder match.


Edit: Shawn...if you come out of retirement, you and Kevin Owens at Mania 41 would be dope.

If HBK comes out of retirement for 1 match only, it better be against AJ Styles or Seth Rollins.

But I do wonder if we get a new title after that match, or if the winged eagle really would just be seen as a prop and forgotten about after this match. Feels weird to have two titles like this for the story just to not have anything change afterwards.
