What Is This Coverage Circle On Screen & Usefulness

Man, I hope I can explain this to where you guys can know what I am talking about. I have seen videos on YouTube that have it. When the human is playing defense and after the ball is hiked, there is a circle on the screen that has a line (or stem) from it. I think the line shows points to who you are usering, and the circle shows who you are assigned to cover or something like that. It is not the play art that shows up before the play. I know what that is. If you guys know what I am talking about, is it helpful? Where do you access if it is helpful?

It shows the coverage assignment of the user controlled defender, be it zone or man, and it draws a line from where the user defender is currently to where he’s supposed to be.

I’ve used it since release and find it very helpful. It appears to be the “defense pass coverage visual assist” setting. I tried turning it off and it didn’t show anymore post-snap, although it still showed pre-snap.

Here are some shots of zone and man, pre- and post-snap.

Holy cow!!! A million thanks. I was a little bit right at what it was. Curious though. Do you yourself like it for man coverage? Or mostly zone. Thanks again.

It’s always on for both man and zone. I don’t need it for man, but it doesn’t bother me having it on. It’s a huge help for me in zone because I call a lot of match zone with different rules as to who I’m supposed to cover depending on offensive formation and what type of match zone I’m in.
