Your 'Instant Classics' In College Football 25? Let's Hear 'Em

One of best and early games when the game first came out, Va.Tech(me) @ NC State(cpu) in the rain, what Jesse Palmer
called a "rock fight" trailing 20 -10 with 6min left in the game, I finally put together a drive and get a touchdown to cut the deficit to to 20-17 with just under 2min. to play, onside kick unsuccessful, so with less than a minute, using my timeouts hold them to a fg attempt, as they line up, I'm thinking need some old fashion "Beamer ball" now. Low and behold I block the fg and return it the game winner!!!
At that moment NCAA Football was back!!!!

Re: Instant Classics

I really wish they would bring back ability to save highlights from those instant classics and rank them like NCAA 14 so we can look back on them.

Such an underrated feature that is obsolete in sports games now.

Not really an Instant Classic, but for me, it was. I put my Auburn dynasty team in the Sun Belt as a punishment, “prove you belong in the SEC”. We were 8-3 headed into the Iron Bowl (I kept this as a rivalry). We were ranked #21 and headed to Tuscaloosa to face #9 Alabama. I knew we were gonna get slaughtered. Nope, we did lose, but final score was 36-28, Alabama’s favor. We did win the turnover battle, and our both teams’ stats were pretty similar. Still a fun game, and a semi moral victory for my Tigers.

Early on, like the second or third game I played, Syracuse-Rutgers, every drive between me and the CPU was either a touchdown, field goal or missed field goal. I won something like 55-52. I was sweating bullets, felt like it added five years to my age. But I thought I might need to unrank it from instant classics once I realized I needed to adjust sliders for both Human and CPU, because I soon had another similar game between Ball State and FCS Midwest, Syracuse and Pitt, Syracuse and Ball State and a couple others.

But I decided to keep it as a classic because I still remember it like it was yesterday, and not last July.

Oh crap, I am glad you mentioned that one. Before I adjusted sliders in my San Diego dynasty, I had a similar game I think against FCS Midwest. I couldn't stop a thing (this was before the patch that fixed overpowered FCS teams). I think we won like 52-48 or close to that. They passed for almost 500 yards on me (on varsity level). I think I made them punt once... ONCE I tell ya.

True freshman QB, down 4 with 3 seconds left. Hit a fade in the back corner of the end zone to send us to the CFP.

Re: Your 'Instant Classics' In College Football 25? Let's Hear 'Em

I have a regulation dynasty in year 12. I built Kennesaw State to back-to-back championships and am now in the top conference. My first game ever in Sanford Stadium where #1 Kennesaw State travels to #5 Georgia for the Game Of The Week.

Georgia comes out swinging and takes a 14-0 lead after 1. I hit a 25-yard TD on a Post pattern to cut the lead to 14-7. Five plays later my best CB picks off a pass to return it 57 yards to tie the game. Georgia kicks a FG to take a 17-14 lead at the half.

They force me to punt on 4th and 15 from their 42. (I carry two punters) I put in my accurate punter select L1 for backspin. Ball hits on the 1 yard line and is downed at the 4. Next play is a sack in the endzone and I trail 17-16. I score a TD on the ensuing possession to go up 23-17. See-saw battle ensues and they take a 31-30 lead into the 4th quarter. It stays that way until there is 5:30 remaining in the game. It appears I have worn out their defense because I am running very effectively. I grind out a 72 yard TD drive to take a 36-31 lead with 1:15 remaining and they have all their timeouts. They stop my 2-point conversion to go up by 7. They drive down the field and convert a 4th and 7 at my 35 with 36 seconds left. Next play my CB who had the Pick 6 gets his 2nd Int of the game in the endzone. I kneel twice to win.
