Hiding players in Roster...

Am I trippin' or are we no longer able to hide players in the ECHL so that they won't show up in Franchise mode ?

Re: Hiding players in Roster...

They should be hidden but if they have a contract they actually move to AHL when starting a franchise.

Yeah, I just like to keep things a little more organized, sending players to ECHL affiliates, so that players are easier to find if I ever want to bring them back in the league.

Boy do I miss the days of NHL on PC + NHLView.

Re: Hiding players in Roster...

So I know a guy who tries to start up a custom franchise with custom teams but always ends up with duplicate players like two Gretzky's, Howe's etc. He ends up with dozens of duplicate players. How do you prevent this or can you? I saw a couple of people above mentioning hiding players. How does that work?

I would think he assigned duplicate players to teams in the same franchise when creating a team and assigning players. How to prevent it is to pick one team they were on and leave it to just that team.

As for "hiding" players say you have Carey Price and move him to ECHL or Champions League, so they don't show up in franchise.

I absolutely LOVED the PC days where people created skins of all the real goalie masks, goalie equipment, the ads on the boards and ice, putting in real music to play in the arena, all the real goal horns & songs, all teams had ream entrance music, etc.

Even though the graphics and gameplay don't compare to todays consoles, the gameplay was still good enough and the realism was through the roof
